Tehsil Headquarter Hospital located near the world famous Tarbela Dam and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi, the tehsil Headquarters Hospital Topi, started it’s journey of service in 1992, after a formal inauguration by the then serving Chief Minister Mr. Mir Afzal khan (Late).
Initially started as Civil Hospital Topi, it since day one is catering to the basic and emergency health requirements of the Topi town and surrounding villages. With the growing population and increased health requirements of the area, the hospital is upgraded to category C tehsil Headquarters Hospital and the bed capacity increased to 110 beds including functional Medicine, gynae and children units, functional operation theatre for emergency Surgeries and 24/7 emergency unit and labour room/maternity suite.
Currently the hospital is included in the teaching institutions of Gajju Khan Medical College as medical teaching institution since November 3, 2021, with additional Hospital Director as the administrative officer/ executive. The current serving staff include 39 doctors (specialist gynecologist, qualified ENT surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Orthopedic surgeon, skilled pediatrician, radiologist and internal medicine and Dental surgeons), 26 staff nurses, paramedics, 15 officials of security and janitorial staff of the same number in addition to other supportive staff in due health care provision of the masses.
Our staff in Emergency unit, labor Room, work in three shifts to provide 24/7 uninterrupted provision of services, the aiding staff involved in diagnostics (lab and x-ray department) make sure to help in proper and timely diagnosis and stand shoulder to shoulder to wards staff in children, gynae, and medical units to cater to the health needs of the admitted patients in the best possible way according to the available resources.
Our surgeon’s gynecologist and anesthesia department are providing emergency surgery services. And basic surgical procedures like appendix surgery, ceaserian section and orthopedic procedures Pop and reduction, intra articular blocks are performed whenever required
