The Board of Governors has been constituted under the MTI Act- 2015 (as Amended), for the general superintendence, direction, policy-making and management of the Medical Teaching Institution BKMC/GKMC Swabi. The Board is responsible to provide strategic guidance and leadership to the MTI.

Moreover, the Board of Governors is also responsible for ensuring quality clinical governance and making the MTI Swabi financially self-sustainable through revenue generation and minimizing its dependency on the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
