The Material Management Department of MTI GKMC/BKMC is the main department responsible for the procurement, tendering, and related matters of the medical college and hospital. The department performs the following functions:

• Procurement: The department procures medical equipment, supplies, and services from various sources, such as local vendors, national suppliers, international donors, or government agencies. The department follows the rules and regulations of the MTI Act 2015 and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) for the procurement process. The department prepares specifications, invites bids, evaluates proposals, negotiates contracts, and issues purchase orders for the required items or services.
  
  
• Tendering: The department conducts open and transparent tendering for the procurement of medical equipment, supplies, and services. The department advertises the tenders in newspapers, websites, and notice boards. The department also holds pre-bid meetings, opens bids publicly, and forms technical and financial evaluation committees to select the best bidder.
