The Emergency & Trauma Department of Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC), MTI Swabi provides 24/7 emergency medical and trauma care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. As a tertiary care hospital, the department provides immediate assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment in coordination with relevant clinical and surgical specialties.

The Emergency Department is supported by qualified doctors, nurses, paramedics, and specialist teams, with access to essential diagnostic and treatment facilities required for emergency care.

Emergency teams provide initial resuscitation, stabilization, diagnostic evaluation, and appropriate treatment, with patients referred to the relevant specialty or admitted for further management when required.

The Emergency Department has access to essential laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT imaging, and other investigations as clinically indicated. Emergency ultrasound services are also available during evening and night shifts to support timely diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
