Swabi: The Hospital Director of BKMC-MTI, Swabi, Dr. Khalid Masud, and the Facilities Manager, visited (THQ) Topi-MTI, Swabi. The purpose of the visit was to review the progress report and hold an introductory meeting with the administration, clinical, and other supportive staff.

During the meeting, Additional Hospital Director (AHD) Dr. Gul Parez highlighted issues related to security, fair price pharmacy, and electricity. He requested for additional CCTV cameras to strengthen vigilance. In response, the Hospital Director issued directives to the Facilities Manager to establish a liaison regarding CCTV installation, address electricity concerns, and oversee the establishment of the fair-price pharmacy. The Maintenance and Engineering team will visit the site, identify locations, and complete the necessary paperwork for this purpose.

Dr. Khalid Masud informed THQ clinical staff that self-assessments would be conducted every three months. He also mentioned that nursing shortages will be resolved in the coming days, as interviews are currently being conducted.

The Hospital Director emphasized that strengthening THQs is a key aim to provide better care and services to patients at their doorstep. He also stressed the importance of enhancing emergency services, as a functional emergency department is the face of any hospital.

Before the meeting, the Hospital Director visited the OPD, ER, and pharmacy store, where Dr. Gul Parez and the concerned officers briefed him.
