The Monsoon Plantation Drive was officially launched at Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC-MTI), Swabi, on July 25, 2025. Deputy Commissioner Swabi, Nasrullah Khan, inaugurated the campaign by planting a chinar sapling.

Dean GKMC/BKMC Prof. Dr. Shamsur Rahman, Hospital Director Dr. Khalid Masud, Director Nursing Mehran Khan, Principal of Nigar College of Nursing Mr. Hezbullah Khan, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Sajjad, Director Finance Akhtar Zeb, and Forest Officer Mr. Mir Afzal Khan actively participated and planted saplings.

A special prayer was offered for the success and sustainability of the plantation drive. According to the spokesperson, a target of planting over 500 saplings has been set across the three teaching hospitals, out of which 200 saplings have already been planted.

To ensure the effective execution of the campaign, the hospital administration has formed a dedicated committee. Under its supervision, saplings have been provided by the Youth Affairs Department, Pakistan Tobacco Company, and the Forest Department. The planted saplings include both shade and fruit-bearing trees.

The district administration has assured full support to the hospital in making the plantation drive a success. On this occasion, the Hospital Director Dr. Khalid Masud also briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital, which was appreciated by the DC.
