Swabi: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Shahid Nisar Khalid Medical Director BKMC-MTI to discuss various updates regarding the improvement in IBP services. Medical Director BKMC-MTI directed all IBP consultants to further strengthen institution-based private practice (IBPP) at the hospital.
Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-U-Rehman, Surgical Specialist Dr. Mukhtyar Ali, Associate MD Dr. Mohammad Saqib, Director Finance, Pharmacy manager, and around 10 IBP consultant attended the meeting.
The MD informed the forum about the decision of the MTI Policy Board regarding IBPP practice.
The consultants also informed the forum about their reservations. They demanded establishing a full-pledged IBP facility to accommodate all the doctors, starting payment of incentives, and issuing of shares of doctors in the Sehat Sahulat Programme.
The MD said that related facilities would be arranged for the consultants.
The MD said that the share for health professionals in Sehat Sahulat Programme is being reviewed, adding the issue of payment of IBPP incentives to consultants will be taken up with BOG. The participants agreed to start full-time practice at IBPP.
The purpose of this meeting was also to, provide support services, and recruitment of other staff for the IBP share distribution mechanism, the meeting was ended with a vote of thanks.
