CPSP Inspection Team Visited GKMC/BKMC-MTI, Swabi

Swabi: The College of Physicians and Surgeon (CPSP) Karachi inspection team visited Gajju Khan Medical College and Bacha Khan Medical Complex-MTI Swabi. The purpose of the visit was to review and approve the facilities required for FCPS training in the subjects of Infectious Diseases, neonatal Paediatrics, Neurosurgery, E.N.T, Diagnostic Radiology, Orthopedics Surgery, and Ophthalmology at GKMC/BKMC-MTI.

The inspection team consisted of Prof. Dr. Waqar Alam Jan, Councilor & Regional Director of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Jehangir Regional Director of Abbottabad, along with Inspectors, Prof Bushra Jamil, Prof. Salman, Prof. Inayat Ali Khan, Prof. Altaf Hussain, Prof. Manal Niazi, and Prof. Ali Akhtar and CPSP Peshawar Inspection team Mr. Fasihulla, Mr. Awais Qudrat, and Mr. Arsalan Hussain.

Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-U-Rahman, Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mahboob, Medical Director Dr. Shahid Nisar Khalid along with his team welcomed the CPSP team and gave them a detailed briefing about various departments of GKMC/BKMC-MTI.

Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mahboob said that the recent visit of CPSP will also open new avenues for FCPS training in public health and basic medical sciences. It will not only provide an opportunity for new talent to come forward in these fields, but it will also improve the overall health system in the province.

Later, the inspection team made a detailed visit to the Departments of Infectious Disease, Neonatal Paediatrics, Neurosurgery, E.N.T, Diagnostic Radiology, Orthopedics Surgery and Ophthalmology, Various Laboratories, Daycare Centre, Skill Lab, OPD, Filter Clinics, Auditorium, and New Emergency, and expressed satisfaction over the facilities available here.

The team highly appreciated the efforts being carried out by the college/hospital administration while serving the community. The team also appreciated the medical care in BKMC-MTI and the academic performance of the medical college.
