Swabi: The BKMC team, led by Hospital Director Dr. Khalid Masud, including Manager Materials Management, HoD Anaesthesia, and HoD Gynae/Obs, visited THQ Topi-MTI to conduct an in-depth assessment of healthcare services and administrative matters. AHD Dr. Gul Parez briefed the team about the current services and shared detailed insights.

The team was divided into respective areas/departments for a comprehensive assessment. The HoD of Gyna/Obs met with the Gynaecology Department, held detailed discussions, and emphasized that there would be no compromise on duties. Similarly, the HoD of Anaesthesia met with the Anaesthesia team to assess their services. The Manager Materials inspected the store and provided necessary directions accordingly.

HD conducted a thorough round of the hospital, visiting the OPD, Emergency, Minor OT, Laboratory, Medical and Surgical Departments, storerooms, the newly revamped Admin Block, and the SSP office. The HD met with all administrative officers and HoDs, including Nursing and Paramedic Supervisor, and provided recommendations and instructions on administrative matters.

The Hospital Director instructed AHD to coordinate with the HoD Anaesthesia to operationalize the 5-bed HDU at Topi. He also issued important directives regarding the SSP and the utilization of equipment and store items, stressing that delivering quality health services is our top priority.

HD emphasized the need for immediate steps to retain SSP services in the hospital. During the visit to the pharmacy store, he reviewed the available medicines and inspected the under-construction fair-price pharmacy, aimed at providing top-quality medicines to the public at affordable prices.
