Swabi: Gajju Khan Medical College organized a funfair 2022 yesterday from 3 to 10:00 pm. Dean/CEO GKMC-MTI Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rahman was the chief guest and inaugurated the said ceremony along with director sports Dr. Sajjad-Ur-Rahman, Chairman Social welfare society Dr. Asif Kamal and other faculty members.

Around 250 students from different medical colleges participated with full zeal & zest, Food, Courts, Handy crafts stall, games, and music stalls decorated by the students made glorious input in the said event.

The students who participated in the event came from Nowshera Medical College, and Bacha Khan Medical College Mardan, enjoyed the ceremony a lot and appreciated the efforts of the organizers. Students of GKMC-MTI arranged different stalls representing their culture and food.

On this occasion, the Dean/CEO of GKMC-MTI said that this is the second funfair in last years but now this kind of event will be organized every year. The medical field is a tough one and students should have participated in extra curriculum activities, the dean added. Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rahman appreciated the efforts of the social welfare society and sports director for arranging such a wonderful event. Dean visited each stall and enjoyed a lot the food and also participated in other activities.

Prize and Trophies were also distributed in the ceremony among the best performers of college annual sports festival, Spokesperson added.

Spokesperson GKMC-MTI said that this is the second funfair after the inception of medical college but from now the type of funfair will be held every year and the management will cooperate in this regard.

At the end of the event, Qawali and Music program was organized by GKMC students. The famous Pashtun traditional Dance “Attan” was performed by the students in which more than 30 students match their moves to the beat of the Dhol while waving their scarves in the air. The faculty members also participated in the “Attan” Dance and enjoyed a lot.
