Swabi: As part of the annual training program led by the GKMC/BKMC-MTI Administration, a full-scale rehearsal of firefighting and basic life support exercises was conducted on February 20, 2025, under the supervision of master trainers.
The purpose of this mock drill was to enhance the capabilities of security guards in mitigating fire risks and ensuring the safety of hospital property. Administrative staff, security personnel, janitorial staff, doctors, nurses, and other support staff from BKMC-MTI, Swabi participated in the exercise.
During the session, trainers provided briefings on different types of fire, the ABCDEF method of firefighting, electrical fires, and the proper use of fire extinguishers. Trainers from Rescue 1122 also demonstrated key firefighting and life-saving techniques, with all participants actively engaged in hands-on exercises.
The Hospital Director appreciated the efforts of the Officer-In-Charge of Security (OIC) and Rescue 1122, acknowledging their valuable contributions in making the exercise effective and impactful.
