Swabi: A one-day “Acute Flaccid Paralysis” Training has been completed at Tehsil Hospital Topi MTI Swabi. Dr. Mussawir Manzoor, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, and Dr. Ishtiaq Ali were facilitators. They gave a comprehensive briefing regarding, IV injection, paediatric patients, and polio eradication.

The staff was guided on how to report the case of acute paralysis and how to send the stool test to the National Institute of Health (NIH).

It has been told to the participants to stop the iv injections in paediatric patients to avoid the injection neuritis that leads to paralysis.
