Academic Council Meeting GKMC-MTI, White Coat Ceremony to be held on 13th Feb, 2023

Swabi: A meeting of the Academic Council GKMC-MTI was held in GKMC Conference Room. Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rahman chaired the meeting and discussed academic matters of various departments and pledge to take suitable measures for the uplift of academic activities at GKMC-MTI.

The meeting was attended by the Medical Director, Associate Deans, Associate Medical Director, Professors, HoDs, and other members of the Academic council GKMC/BKMC-MTI

Firstly, the forum expressed their sympathies and sincere condolence at the demise of Professor Dr. Anwar Shah Aurakzai Neurosurgeon at Bannu Medical College. Prayers were offered in the meeting for the deceased.

It was decided in the meeting that the “White Coat Ceremony” for 1st Year students of GKMC-MTI will be held on Monday 13th Feb 2023 at 10:00 AM. The chair directed the concern for necessary arrangements.

It was decided in the ACM that New 1st Year Classes will be commenced from 13th Feb 2023 as per KMU direction.

The chair showed concern over the poor attendance of some students and directed all HoDs to ensure students’ attendance in class. It was decided that the student who has less than 75 percent attendance will not be allowed to appear in the next module exam.

Dr. Khalid, Director of QEC presented the “Graduating Students Survey” to the forum. The forum appreciated the efforts of QEC and directed them to hold a detailed meeting with all HoDs for further improvement.

The Forum also discussed various issues of Gajju Khan Medical College and Bacha Khan Medical Complex Swabi and decisions were taken accordingly.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the chair as well as the participants of the meeting.
