Former Speaker of the National Assembly and Current Member of the National Assembly (MNA), Mr. Asad Qaisar, visited Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC) and Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC) MTI, Swabi, to review progress on key development projects.

Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman, along with the college management, welcomed and briefed him on the current status of the purpose-built GKMC building project. The delegation, including the project contractor, visited the construction site, where challenges such as project delays and funding gaps were highlighted.

Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman emphasized that the completion of the college building is a top institutional priority, critical not only for enhancing medical education but also to meet the seat enhancement requirements of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).

Former Speaker Mr. Asad Qaisar expressed his support for the project and shared details of the high-level meeting held a day earlier with the CS KP. He assured the management that the required funds would be released soon to expedite the completion of the GKMC building.

MNA Asad Qaisar also visited the Medical and Surgical Emergency Department at BKMC, where he interacted with patients and inquired about the healthcare facilities. The patients expressed satisfaction with the treatment and services being provided.
