Swabi: The team from Changing Diabetes in Children Pakistan (CDIC) visited the newly established Type 1 Diabetes Clinic to assess existing services and explore opportunities for improvement. The team was warmly welcomed by Additional Hospital Director Dr. Hamid Ali Yousafzai, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the diabetes services available at the hospital.

The delegation included former BOG GKMC/BKMC member and CDIC Program Head Dr. Arshad Hussain, along with other CDIC representatives. They evaluated the services provided at the clinic and expressed satisfaction with the quality of care. The team also appreciated the administration’s efforts in establishing and running the facility.

To further enhance patient care, the team agreed on strengthening human resources and providing additional furniture to expand services, ensuring more patients receive essential care. This clinic is the first of its kind in district Swabi, offering free insulin and essential medicines to children with Type 1 diabetes.
