Swabi: During the Eid-Ul-Adha holidays, the three MTI hospitals in Swabi, including Bacha Khan Medical Complex, THQ Topi, and THQ Chota Lahor, treated 3,456 patients in their emergency departments. Among these, 181 were road traffic accident (RTA) cases. Additionally, over 1,100 medical, 710 pediatric, 410 surgical, and 90 gynecological patients received care in the A&ER. During this period, 82 babies were born.
The spokesperson for BKMC-MTI reported that 370 minor operations were performed, including procedures for injuries from shootings and various accidents. Diagnostic and X-ray services continued throughout the three days of Eid, with a total of 3,728 tests conducted, including 387 X-rays, 34 CT scans, and 214 ECGs. Additionally, 76 free dialysis sessions were provided at BKMC-MTI.
The report also noted that 56 cases of dog bites were recorded during the holidays. Most patients were treated under the Sehat Sahulat Program. Emergency services were available 24 hours a day without interruption, thanks to a comprehensive plan implemented before Eid to ensure the presence of doctors, paramedics, and nurses.
