Swabi: The 15th Hospital Executive Committee (HEC) meeting was held on Nov 27, 2024, under the chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Masud, Hospital Director BKMC-MTI, Swabi. The meeting was attended by all Heads of Departments (HODs), Managers, the Director of Finance, the Focal Person for SCP, and AHDs from the allied teaching hospitals, including MTI THQ Chota Lahor.
The meeting began with a review of the agendas and tasks from the previous session. Each HOD provided updates on their respective assignments. Improvements in the Emergency Department were discussed, with suggestions from the Director ER receiving appreciation from the chair. It was decided that all internee employees would work under the supervision of their respective HODs.
A detailed discussion was held on the development of a fully equipped Control and Monitoring Room to enhance hospital surveillance and vigilance. The Security In-Charge was assigned the task of overseeing its establishment.
Updates on OPD revamping were presented, and the chair directed the team to expedite its completion. The chair also commended the Laboratory team for their efforts in upgrading facilities at THQ Topi and Chota Lahor labs.
The Manager MIS briefed the forum on the hospital’s IT infrastructure and the progress of tender processing for the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS).
Plans for the smooth transition of Operating Theaters (OTs) to the new Operation Rooms were discussed, with a timeline of two months set for completion.
The Director ER presented a detailed report on the LRH visit, which was reviewed thoroughly.
The chair directed administrative officers, who are assigned specific administrative duties, to nominate second-in-command employees to assist in their responsibilities.
A Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Committee was discussed, and the chair instructed the Media Officer to prepare banners based on the provided data.
The forum also addressed the facilitation of Medical Representatives, with directives for the OPD Supervisor and Security In-Charge to coordinate and streamline their visit schedules efficiently.
