Swabi: Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC-MTI) Swabi organized a 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐚𝐭𝐡-𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to welcome its newly enrolled 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐁𝐁𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 into the medical profession.

The event was graced by 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧/𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐬-𝐔𝐫-𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬, along with faculty members and department heads. Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman welcomed the students, sharing a brief history of GKMC-MTI and congratulating them on choosing this noble profession.

Dean highlighted the college’s outstanding academic performance, noting that three batches had achieved 100% results in KMU exams, with many students successfully passing FCPS Part 1. He encouraged students to focus on research and uphold the institution’s reputation. The Dean also advised them to prioritize academic and clinical training, emphasizing the importance of patient care as a crucial part of their learning. 

The Hospital Director of BKMC also congratulated the new students, encouraging them to work hard and assuring them of full support throughout their medical journey. 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐥𝐞𝐝 took the oath from the new students, underscoring the students’ commitment to the medical profession.

The White Coat and Oath-Taking Ceremony was organized by the 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐊𝐌𝐂-𝐌𝐓𝐈 under the supervision of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 and his team. Senior students presented 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, showcasing the medical profession and the journey of medical students. The event was even more special as many parents of the newly enrolled students attended, expressing their pride in their children’s selection for MBBS at GKMC-MTI.
