SWABI: To welcome the first-year MBBS students into the medical profession, Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC-MTI) Swabi organized a White Coat and oath-taking Ceremony for the Eighth batch of GKMC-MTI on Monday, Feb 12, 2024.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean/CEO Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC-MTI), Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rahman, welcomed all the students and briefly described the history of GKMC-MTI.
The Dean said in his speech that both the pioneer and 2nd batch of GKMC-MTI secured a 100 percent result in the KMU exams, and more than 40 students also successfully cleared FCPS part-one, which is a remarkable achievement.
He said in his address that there would be no compromise on discipline in the college, and urged new students to follow discipline and study wholeheartedly. The Dean advised students to concentrate on the academic and clinical assignments given to them and give utmost importance to the patients who are a source of learning and training for them.
Associate Dean Undergraduate, Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Ali, graced the occasion and wished them all the best. He took the oath, emphasizing the student’s commitment to the medical profession.
According to spokesperson, GKMC-MTI stated that this is the third white coat ceremony after the inception of the Medical College. He added that, as of now, 55 admissions have been confirmed, with 34 male and 21 female students enrolled for the current year.
