Swabi: A two-day training course on waste segregation concluded at BKMC-MTI, Swabi, with a total of 17 participants, including Medical Officers, Nurses, and Technicians. The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding and application of effective waste segregation practices within healthcare settings to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Dr. Amjad Mahboob, Chairman Department of Medicine, and Dr. Asim Ali Shah, Microbiologist, led the sessions, providing valuable insights into healthcare waste management.
IPC Nurse Jaan Meraj and IT Engineer Mr. Raheem were the facilitators of the training.
Their presentations covered best practices for handling medical waste, emphasizing the importance of proper segregation techniques to prevent cross-contamination and promote a healthier workplace.
The training concluded with an engaging discussion, addressing participants’ queries and reinforcing the significance of responsible waste management in medical facilities.
