Surprise Visit by the Chief Minister to BKMC-MTI, Swabi

Swabi: Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Arshad Hussain Shah, made a surprise visit to Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC-MTI), Swabi. The Chief Minister visited various departments of the hospital, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), OPD, different wards, laboratory, and emergency departments.

During the visit, caretaker Chief Minister Arshad Hussain Shah assessed the healthcare facilities provided at the hospital and expressed satisfaction. He interacted with patients, inquiring about the facilities available to them. In turn, the patients expressed their satisfaction with the medical treatment they were receiving.

Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mahboob briefed the Chief Minister on new departments, laboratories, and other developmental initiatives for the convenience of the public. Additionally, Dean/CEO of Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC-MTI), Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman, informed the CM about the new Purpose-Built building of the GKMC-MTI and highlighted the success of the first two batches with a 100 percent pass result in KMU annual exams. The Dean also provided information about college academic and research activities.

Deputy Commissioner Swabi, Gohar Ali Khan, and other key officials were present during the Chief Minister’s visit. The caretaker Chief minister acknowledged the cooperation of the hospital administration and emphasized the importance of collaboration in all aspects.

The caretaker Chief Minister’s visit aimed to strengthen ties and ensure effective cooperation between the government and healthcare institutions in the Swabi district.
