Speech therapy clinic inaugurated in BKMC-MTI

Swabi: The Speech therapy Clinic was inaugurated in BKMC-MTI today to benefit the patients who suffer from speech disabilities, the clinic is one the first of its kind in district Swabi. Medical Director Dr. Shahid Nisar was the chief guest and inaugurated the newly established speech therapy clinic. Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mehboob, HOD ENT Dr. Raza Muhammad, and speech therapist Dr. Saadia also graced the occasion. A speech therapy clinic will provide facilities to those patients who can’t speak properly. HOD ENT Dr. Raza said that patients of Swabi with such kinds of issues will have no more visits to other cities, we will provide the best treatment here in BKMC-MTI for those elders and children born with a speech disability or affected after a stroke attack. Dr. Raza told this correspondent that the speech clinic would have six days of OPD in the ENT department. Childhood speech apraxia, Orofacial myfunction disorders, speech and sound disorders, fluency and stuttering disorders, Autism related communication disorders, and communication disorders due to brain injury issues will be treated in the speech therapy clinic, said, Dr. Raza Muhammad.
