Swabi: The Department of Community Medicine, in collaboration with the Pulmonology Department, GKMC/BKMC-MTI, Swabi, held an informative session titled “New Challenges in Asthma Management,” with a particular emphasis on the winter season.

This timely session addressed the complexities of managing ASTHMA during colder months when respiratory conditions often worsen. The session was led by faculty members, Dr. M. Sajjad, Head of Community Medicine, and Dr. Qasam Nawaz, Head of Pulmonology, both bringing valuable expertise to the discussion.

Participants from various departments, including TMOs and demonstrators from Community Medicine. Both senior doctors shared the latest evidence-based strategies and emerging challenges, encouraging an interactive dialogue throughout the session.

The primary objective of the session was to equip healthcare professionals with advanced skills for managing ASTHMA during the winter season. Participants gained a better understanding of the preventive measures, treatment protocols, and patient education techniques specific to ASTHMA care in colder months.
