Swabi: The Department of Paediatrics at Bacha Khan Medical Complex-MTI, Swabi, in collaboration with the Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and District Government Swabi, successfully organized a one-day training workshop on “Lactation Management.”
Doctors, Nurses, and LHVs from the BKMC Gynae/Obs and Pediatrics departments attended this training workshop to enhance their lactation management skills and awareness. The participants described the workshop as highly fruitful and actively participated in the sessions.
Participants received training on various aspects of lactation management, including breastfeeding, issues with packaged milk, challenges faced by breastfeeding mothers, addressing common myths and misconceptions, feeding after C-section, and the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child.
The session was led by expert trainers, including Assistant Professor Dr. Inayat Ullah, Assistant Professor Dr. Haji Gul Afridi, and Dr. Ahmed Khizar, who provided detailed insights and practical guidance on effective lactation management strategies.
The workshop concluded with a speech by Prof. Dr. Sajjad-Ur-Rehman, HoD, who emphasized the importance of such training sessions in improving healthcare practices. Certificates were distributed among the attendees to acknowledge their active participation.
