Medical Students Knowledge tour to Rescue 1122 office

Swabi: A delegation of 10 Medical Students of GKMC-MTI led by Epidemiologists GKMC-MTI Dr. Sajjad Ahmad visited Rescue 1122 district Swabi office.

District Emergency Officer Dr. Rafiullah marwat welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the activities of rescue 1122. They visited different sections of the center like the command and control room, call monitoring response mechanism, and emergency dashboard.

Rescue 1122 district emergency officer briefed the delegation about the services provided to people in an emergency. He said 1122 was the only institution in Pak that was equipped with trained personnel and was providing rapid emergency services in incidents like explosions, and fires. Rescue 1122 not only provided first aid to victims of emergencies but also rescued them to safer locations, including hospitals. Dr. Rafiullah marwat said that rescue 1122 also provided training to the staff of various private and government institutions.

The visit was aimed to appreciate the efforts of rescue 1122 and thanked the Management for arranging a useful tour. The students said that this was an opportunity to learn a lot from such visits. The delegation assured cooperation with each other in the future.
