Swabi: To enhance and strengthen the Emergency Department at BKMC-MTI, Swabi, a meeting of the Orthopedics Department was held under the chairmanship of Director Emergency, Dr. Razik Shah, as directed by the Medical Director, Dr. Shahid Nisar Khalid.

The meeting was attended by HoD Orthopedics Dr. Jawad Khan, Assistant Professor Dr. Shoaib Marwat, SPR Dr. Shakir Ullah.

Positive suggestions from the HoD and other consultants were discussed, and Director Emergency appreciated their suggestions and cooperation in strengthening the ER department.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination between the Emergency and Orthopedics departments, ensuring prompt response to critical cases, and identifying areas for resource allocation to improve patient care.

The chair discussed the liaison between orthopedic surgeons and ER department regarding referral and Bed occupancy.

It was decided in the meeting that the BLS course will be arranged for all ER department staff.

The Board of Governors (BoG) and management of BKMC-MTI have emphasized the need to improve Emergency Services for the efficient delivery of quality healthcare to the public.
