Health Advisor to CM visited BKMC-MTI, Swabi, There would be no compromise in the provision of health facilities.

Swabi: Advisor to the Chief Minister (CM) on Health of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Abid Jameel visited Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC-MTI) on Tuesday, 28 February 2023. Dean/CEO Gajju Khan Medical College Prof. Dr. Shams-U-Rehman and Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mehboob welcomed the Health Advisor. The Health advisor along with Additional Secretary Health Niaz Mohammad and DHO Swabi Abdul Latif conducted a detailed visit to various departments of the hospital to examine the available health facilities. The delegation paid a visit to the hospital’s ICU, Dialysis Unit, OPD, and the newly established emergency and burn ICU in the hospital and reviewed the health facilities provided to the patients. Dr. Abid Jamil expressed his satisfaction with the health facilities being provided here at the hospital. The Hospital director Dr. Amjad Mehboob, while giving a briefing to the Health Advisor, said that the OPD of the hospital has increased from 1000 to 1600 per day, while emergency cases have increased from 300 to 700 per day.

Dean/CEO GKMC/BKMC-MTI briefed the advisor that the hospital has controlled an 80% referral system and now all patients are treated here.

The Health Advisor planted a sapling in the hospital and become a part of the ongoing plantation drive in the hospital.

Speaking on this occasion, Health Advisor assured the management to solve the problems of the hospital and said that there would be no compromise in providing treatment to patients as timely treatment of patients is our top priority. The Advisor said that the performance of all hospitals is being reviewed.  He also assured the hospital administration of all kinds of support, including purchasing necessary equipment and machinery.
