World Breast Milk Week 2023
#World Breast Milk Week 2023
Breast milk is nature’s perfect food for infants, containing the right balance of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals essential for a baby’s healthy development. It also contains antibodies and other immune factors that help protect the baby from infections and diseases.
The World Health Organization (#WHO) and other health organizations recommend exclusive #breastfeeding for the first six months because of the numerous health benefits it offers to both the baby and the mother. Some of the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for the baby include a reduced risk of infections, allergies, and chronic diseases, as well as better cognitive development. For the mother, exclusive breastfeeding can aid in postpartum recovery and help reduce the risk of certain cancers.
