Swabi: The UNICEF Health Team Lead, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with renowned International Neonatologist Dr. Maqsood Ali from Canada, visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of BKMC-MTI on 27 January 2026.

The visiting delegation was warmly received by the Hospital Director and Medical Director. During the visit, the team toured the NICU, where Dr. Maqsood Ali interacted with the NICU staff and reviewed the ongoing neonatal care services.

The delegation was briefed by the Unit In-Charge, Dr. Inayatullah (Neonatologist, BKMC) regarding the facilities, services, and standards of care being provided at the NICU.

Later, both members of the delegation visited GKMC, where they met with the Dean/CEO, Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman. The UNICEF Health Team Lead and Dr. Maqsood Ali appreciated the efforts of GKMC and BKMC in delivering quality clinical services and patient care.

Dr. Maqsood Ali also assured his full support and future collaboration in the field of neonatology.
