Orientation session held for 50 newly inductees “Junior House Officer” at BKMC-MTI

Swabi: An orientation session was held at Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC-MTI) for 50 newly inducted House Officers. The event was graced by the presence of Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman, Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Ali, Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq, and Acting Hospital Director Dr. Abid Naeem.

Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman warmly welcomed the new house officers and expressed pride in the fact that the 2nd badge of GKMC-MTI also achieved a hundred percent result in the KMU Annual exams. He emphasized the importance of practical work in providing better healthcare to patients and urged the inductees to perform their duties diligently in the various units they will be placed in.

Recognizing the vital role of House Job Officers, Associate Dean Undergraduate Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Ali, Prof. of Surgery Dr. Ishtiaq Ali Khan, and Acting Hospital Director Dr. Abid Naeem also addressed the new inductees. They highlighted the importance of respecting and obeying senior staff members, emphasizing that this stage marks the beginning of their careers where they must handle all patients equally and continue learning.

The session was also attended by the Media Officer, a representative of IT, and HR departments. They briefly presented their respective departments. The inductees raised questions and concerns, which were addressed by the relevant departments.

According to the spokesperson, out of the 50 House Officers inducted, 21 are male and 29 are female. The management and administration will soon decide the specific duties and units where the House Officers will be placed.
