One-Day CME session on “Endocrine Update” held at BKMC-MTI
Swabi: Pakistan ranks no.3 worldwide in diabetes prevalence and is also the country with the highest proportion of death under the age of 60 due to diabetes, with 35.5%.
Pakistan endocrine society (PES) conducted a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on “Endocrine Update” at the BKMC-MTI auditorium on 22nd Feb 2023. The purpose of the session was to Educate and Awareness regarding Diabetes Management which is very important both for Doctors and Patients.
Dr. Ibrar Ahmed President Pakistan Endocrine Society discussed the topic in detail and said that currently, 35 million people are suffering from diabetes, PES is continuously conducting awareness sessions, social media campaigns, workshops, and digital sessions. Dr. Ibrar Ahmed said that it is the need of the hour to educate and create more and more awareness about healthy activities and healthy diets which can prevent diabetes or diabetes-related complications.
In the CME Dr. Ghaffar Khatak Associate Professor of Diabetic and Endocrine HMC Peshawar, talked about the scientific session regarding the major endocrine disorder and their management gave valuable
Management of GKMC/BKMC-MTI, consultant, faculty members, and students at large number participated and attended the session.
Health experts from various hospitals in KP also attended the CME.
In the end, very warm and positive feedback was given by the entire audience.
