“The Blood Wing” of SWS GKMC and “The Blood Heroes” team Swabi visited Thalassemia Center THQ Swabi to celebrate “World Thalassemia Day”

Swabi: On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, the Blood Wing of the Social Welfare Society in collaboration with the Blood Heroes Team Swabi organized an awareness walk and registration drive at THQ Chota Lahor, which was attended by thalassemia-affected children and members of the community. This event aimed to raise awareness about thalassemia. Blood Wing of SWS visited “Thalassemia Centre” Swabi under the supervision of Chairman SWS, Dr. Asif Kamal (HOD Psychiatry, GS SWS, Ilyas MS and Blood Wing Deputy Directors, Abdullah, and Ammara Ashraf.

15 pints of Blood were donated to Thalassemia Fighters, on this occasion an awareness walk was also organized to highlight the issue. Cake-cutting ceremony and gifts were also distributed among the thalassemia patients with “Blood Heroes” Swabi collaboration. Additional Hospital Director Dr. Hamid Ali warmly welcomed the SWS and Blood Heroes and appreciated their efforts in bringing attention to the thalassemia issue.
