The 13th Board of Governors (BOGs) meeting of GKMC/BKMC-MTI was held in the Conference room of GKMC-MTI.
Swabi: Chairman BOG and members of the KP Policy Board Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Salah-Uddin Qasim chaired the meeting and members of BoGs including Dr. Tufail Mohammad Khan, Mr. Mian Unwan-Uddin participated in the said meeting while Dr. Iqbal Begum and Dr. Arshad Hussain attended the meeting through zoom. A detailed Briefing regarding Pre-Fab construction for Filter Clinics, Fair Price Pharmacy, Phlebotomy section, and Under Construction Operation Theater was given to the Board of Governors.
The Management of GKMC/BKMC-MTI, Swabi, and Allied THQ Hospital-MTI, Topi & Lahor updated the Board regarding progress in their respective jurisdiction.
Earlier the Chairman BOGs visited the Intensive care unit (ICU), Dialysis Unit, pre-fab constructions i.e. Fair Price pharmacy, OPD Filter Clinics & Phlebotomy Section as well as the under-construction New OTs. The hospital Director briefed the chair regarding the under-construction projects.
Chairman BOGs appreciated the efforts of the Hospital Administration and showed satisfaction over the pace of work on the running projects and ordered its timely completion.
The Dean / CEO informed the Board that Specialist Doctors have been recruited in various specialties to strengthen the Institutional Based Private Practice in the Institute. The Board appreciated the efforts of the Dean, MD, HD, and Management for the IBPP and Sehat Sahulat Program (SSP) at BKMC-MTI and also directed administration & Management to strengthen the IBPP and SSP.
Later the chairman of BOG along with other members inaugurated the newly established Daycare center, He visited the playroom nursery and other areas of the daycare center and appreciated the standard of available facilities.
HD briefed the chairman about the importance of the Daycare center and said that the BKMC administration has aimed to provide a suitable environment for working women and to facilitate them. The daycare center was the need of the time as the KP government emphasized that every government Institution should have a Daycare center.
