Swabi: A meeting was convened, led by Dr. Shahid Nisar Khalid, the Medical Director of BKMC-MTI, who also chairs the IBP Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on Institutional-Based Private Practice (IBPP) and explore strategies for enhancing and optimizing IBP services
Dr. Shahid Nisar Khalid, Medical Director, and Chairman of the IBP committee, expressed his gratitude towards the consultants who consistently make themselves available in their clinics during the evening hours. He also appreciated the valuable suggestions put forth by the Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Consultants for enhancing the quality of IBP services.
The IBP Chairman stated the consultants to do their IBP from 2 PM to 8 PM. The chairman said a dedicated ward has been set up to facilitate more patients.
The consultants suggested performing surgeries during the night in the operating room. To enable this, the operating room needs to be available and operational during nighttime hours. To ensure everything runs smoothly, the supporting staff will receive the necessary support and assistance
The Chairman also approved the idea of having two or three staff members work during the night shift in the operating room.
The meeting was attended by the Dean/CEO, IBP Consultant, and HoDs. They made decisions to improve IBP, and the administration will support IBP consultants with their work.
