Swabi: A great step towards education advancement and community betterment took place today as construction work has been started on the official commencement of construction on the purpose-built building for the GKMC.

The inauguration ceremony took place on the college-acquired land witnessed the presence of GKMC/BKMC-MTI Management, including Dean/CEO GKMC-MTI, Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman, Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mahboob, Associate Dean Under Graduate Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Ali, Associate Dean Research Dr. Sajjad, Director Finance Mr. Akhtar Zeb, and Manager Maintenance and Engineering Mr. Iqbal Shah, alongside representatives from both the C&W department and the contractor were also in attendance during the event.

Dean/CEO GKMC-MTI Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman, Hospital Director Dr. Amjad Mahboob, Director Finance and Building and Maintenance Engineer, while representatives of the C&W and Contractor were present at the occasion.

Dean/CEO Said that today is a historic day for the people of Swabi, as the construction of the medical college has now commenced. He emphasized the commitment to ensuring the timely completion of the college building.

Dean mentioned that an initial allocation of 2.6 billion was approved, with 60 million already disbursed. The primary focus for these funds is the construction of hostels, given that a significant number of our students currently reside off-campus.

The concerned authorities expressed their dedication to ensuring that the construction of the purpose-built building is executed on schedule, Spokesperson added.
