Swabi: The faculty members of Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC-MTI) received their Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE), which is mandatory as per Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) rules. Every faculty member should have their CHPE by the end of 2024.
The certificate distribution ceremony took place at the Auditorium Hall, where Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-ur-Rehman awarded CHPE certificates to each successful faculty member. These certificates were granted by the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) to faculty members who completed a six-month course with NUMS.
The course was organized by the Associate Dean of Research, Dr. M. Sajjad, under the directive of Dean/CEO Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rehman. Its purpose was to equip faculty members with modern medical education skills, ensuring they produce the best doctors for the community.
Dean/CEO GKMC-MTI commended the efforts of the entire research cell team and their Associate Dean of Research for conducting such activities.
The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by HD BKMC, along with other senior members of GKMC/BKMC-MTI, Swabi.
In the ceremony, more than 30 successful participants received their certificates.
There will be continuous CHPE courses, as GKMC is registered with NUMS as the center for such courses.
